“On God” is the seventh single released by Latto off her album Queen of da Souf. The music video was filmed by Cole Bennett and the track was produced by Diego Ave and Bankroll Got It. Throughout the song, Latto shares some braggadocious lines about designer gear & appearance, The song’s raunchy lyrics detail Latto’s sexual fantasies, Like other sex-positive songs by female artists, these lyrics also make a statement and a message of female empowerment and sexual liberation. Latto (real name Alyssa Michelle Stephens) was born in Columbus, Ohio, and raised in Atlanta. The artist first found fame as a 16-year-old when she competed and won season one of Lifetime's reality show 'The Rap Game', though she turned down the grand prize -- a record deal with Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Records. Her first single, 2020's "Bitch From da Souf," reached No. 95 on the Hot 100. Her debut album, 'Queen of Da Souf,' reached No. 44 on the Billboard 200. She has since collaborated with Cardi B on "Put It On Da Floor Again," which reached No. 13 on the Hot 100 in June 2023, and Megan Thee Stallion on "Budget," which reached No. 87 in August 2022.
